A stone's throw from Assisi, in the Mount Subasio Park, there is a wonderful gorge for canyoning, that of Fosso Marchetto.
The gorge is hidden among the hills and is carved by a torrent, creating a natural landscape of undisputed beauty and absolute fun thanks to the succession of pools, potholes and rapids. There will be fun to be had in bathing, sliding and diving in an isolated environment of rare charm. 

With the appropriate equipment (swimming costume, towels, complete change of clothes and diving suit), it is possible to descend into the gorge. The scenery changes radically, the gorge, although devoid of jumps, requires crossing deep pools; the sunlight barely filters through, making the environment unreal. It is definitely an exciting experience.
