INTRODUCTION TO FALCONRY COURSE
Number of participants: maximum 10 participants.
Aims: This course is suitable for those approaching falconry for the first time, for those who want to learn how to manage their falcon at best, for those who want to introduce them to classical falconry or for demonstrations.
During the course there will be both theoretical lessons with the support of photos and handouts, and practical lessons with field trips.
Day 1 Beginning at 09:30 until 12:30 Visit to birds of prey breeding centre, equipment, first aid kit, how falconry is made.
Lunch break 15:00 until 17:00 filagna training, calling techniques, explanation of logging.
18:00 until 19:00 theory (the art of falconry).
Day 2 starting at 09:30 until 12:30 flight training of birds of prey, demonstration with low flying birds of prey, high flying birds of prey.
Lunch break from 14:00 to 17:00 hrs. Continuation of flight training of nocturnal birds of prey.

Requirements
Hiking or gym clothing suitable for the season in which the activity takes place, avoid overly bright colours e.g. orange, red, yellow; hiking boots, there are no special physical requirements to participate, at least 12 years of age, no animals can be brought along.

Programma: corso di falconeria: – Introduzione storica e teorica alla falconeria. – Regime alimentare del Falco. – Anatomia e malattie del Falco, le cure quotidiane. – Le prede del Falco. – Volo sul pugno, in filagna, sul logoro. – Tecniche di addestramento, introduzione alla falconeria classica, le normative. – Esercitazioni pratiche sul campo.
